It ranks first in Japan both in the number of hot spring sources and the volume of water discharged. The number of hot spring sources accounts for 18% of the total and the amount of water discharged accounts for 10% of the total.
The "Kokonoe Yume Otsuribashi Suspension Bridge," spanning the Naruko River Gorge in the town of Kokonoe, Kusu County, is the longest footpath suspension bridge in Japan with a length of 390meters and a height of 173 meters.
This is a good place to dive into the more rural Japan off the beaten track!!
