Miyagi has several attractions, including Naruko Onsen (hot spring), Matsushima which is a bay studded with pine-covered islands and one of the three most beautiful sites in Japan.In addition to that, the Zao Mountain Ranges which cover Yamagata and Miyagi prefectures offer many other spots of interest such as the trees glazed with ice which symbolize the winter in Zao and "Goshiki-numa" (five-color pond).
